Hebbe Falls| Chikmagalur

Hebbe Falls is 32 km from Valley of Birds Homestay and situated in the hills of Kemmanagundi in Chikmagalur district. It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls and tourist destinations in Karnataka. This waterfall is a must visit tourist spot and a major crowd puller.

The falls are known to have medicinal properties due to the fact that the water flowing down these hills run through a variety of medicinal plants that Sages from all over India have been coming to collect for hundreds of years, hence taking a bath in this herb infused water is popular among locals and tourists alike. These waters are said to cure common colds and skin diseases. Water gushes from a height of 554 ft. and splits into two tracks after it hits a rock projection half way through.The big falls is known as Dodda Hebbe and small one as Chikka Hebbe. The view when it divides itself into two is mesmerizing.

Hebbe Falls can be visited throughout the year. But the best time would be early winter when you can enjoy the various flora and fauna of the neighboring landscape. It is surrounded by dense forests and coffee plantations.
